Week Four Recap (4-0): Regression and Progression, Gattis saves the day

ATLANTIC CITY SHARKS  364
TEAM MARGOT  348

Lineup Moves:  Dropped freakin' Adam La Freakin Roche and Bilbo Butler.  Added Kendry Morales and shifted him to 1B and Chris Davis at 1B/3B.  Dropped Angel Pagan and Steve Pearce, Holt and Guerrero.  Added Dexter Fowler, Josh Reddick, Evan Gattis and Starling Marte (who was inexplicably just floating around on waivers).

THe lineup now looks like this:

C Buster Posey
1B Kendry Morales
2B Robbie Cano
3B Kyle Seager
SS Starlin Castro
2B/SS Xander Boegarts
1B/3B Chris Davis
OF Starling Marte
OF Dexter Fowler
OF Mookie Betts
OF Will Myers
OF Josh Reddick
DH Evan Gattis

Pitching Pickups:  Miguel Gonzalez, 29 and Seattle's T-Wan Walker 24.

Conclusion:  The lineup was as good as has been all year at 185, but still 15 points under the roster design thresh hold.  The sweeping changes have worked, but the middle infield still looks suspect as Cano is off to a slow start (not really worried) and Castro and Boegarts are playing out of their minds right now and still only putting up 12 to 15 points a week.  King Felix had another good start and the bullpen was dominant again, but my waiver wire picks were mostly sad and or sadder (thank-you Drew Hutchinson).  Pitching staff went a mediocre 3-6 with 10 saves and 179 points.

Just got lucky this week.  Opponent inexplicably didn't play AJ Pierzynski (left the slot open, actually) on Monday and AJ popped for 11 points.  I picked up Gattis for Sunday's game and he blew up for 15 points.  That's a 26 point swing in a 16 point game.

Hmm?
